Topic: Porting / port cleanup with guides in place?

Just another quick question, is it ok and manageable to do some mild porting / port cleanup with a good set of guides in place and a good valve job already done on the seats? Im not so worried about debris but the guide being in the way?

It is if you're careful.  I wouldn't want to touch the seats while porting either before or after they've been done.  But depending on your porting plan, you may want to taper the intakes guides down a bit anyway, so I wouldn't be too concerned about touching those.

I agree. I ported my head and edged the guides on the intake side a little. Then had a machine shop cut the valves.
