Head Stock Roller Bearing Kit 400 Four F1
« on: January 15, 2015, 04:42:21 AM »
Hi as a newbie to the forum apologies if this has been covered before (I did a search honest).

I have a roller bearing kit from David Silver to replace the balls. As I see it the assembly sequence should be
Dust washer onto lower yoke. Rubber dust seal  then the bearing (the upper and lower cups having been already pressed into the frame. Then the top bearing. My question is where does the big spacer go? that was supplied with the kit?

Also any tips about pressing the lower bearing into place without damaging the bearing race would be appreciated.

You only use one of the two spacers, whichever gets the new stack to closely match the old ball and race height. You put the washer on first on the yoke, dust seal then lower bearing.
