Hey guys, I have a 74 CB750 that I'm restoring and I have a question about the side covers. This particular bike has, what I thought was original paint on the tank and side covers. My question is about the side covers: On the bottom of the covers where the mounting tabs are - Is that area painted black or is it all the same color ? I've painted many over the years, but am having trouble remembering if any actually came that way. I kinda thought the entire side cover was color - no black. Anybody shed some light ?
Next: Does anyone know of a source that has an aluminum front fender that is very similar to the stock CB fender with rolled edges all the way around ? Doesn't have to be as long? as the CB fender - Ideally I don't want to run a fender stay in the front or back if possible. I can handle the bracing etc. Or, if you know of an aluminum fender with a rib down the center that would work as well.
