I never owned one but knew a guy in the early 80's that had one and let me ride it coupla times. His wife worked at Denco so needless to say.....he had a butt load of trick parts on it. It was a 750 in a 500 frame....totally stripped(very light bike). The motor was so rad that it could hardly idle but once you got it rolling and got used to the throttle......damn thing would about pull away from under you. Talk about a wheelie machine.......you could pull it up with ease in any gear.
Anyhow.....I've always dug the smokers. Yours is a good looking specimien. Have fun with it. 8)

Can't wait to see it smoke!   You move yet?

house will be done in early March.

Tango,
That motor looks clean enough to eat off of,it'd be a shame to take her out on the Winter roads to break it in... :(
dont worry,  no salty roads for this beast, ill get it all together and running, then tune in the spring.
short update,  engine is in.  now for the small stuff.

Looks good!   Hows it run?

I found a '74, it was in MI, bought it as a non-running project bike. Got it runnin, poorly at best though.  Getting ready to rebuild the motor...

Hey Tango and Stev-o,
is there any benefit to changing the porting in the 74' model H1 to match the earlier(late 60's-71')models 'peakier',screamin' powerband ? Those early ones had Very intense accel.  :o ;D
