Forseti Big Bore set up 750
« on: October 01, 2013, 06:57:07 AM »
I have been soaking the K1 for over a week. My dad continues to assist with the breaking free period as it is stored in his garage...

I came across these on eBay.. I did the search on here and a first has happened... Nothing comes up.......

http://www.ebay.com/itm/290987130213?item=290987130213&viewitem=&sspagename=ADME:X:RTQ:MOTORS:1123&vxp=mtr

Anyone have an insight for the 836 Forseti big bore kit?

Looks nice.  Maybe the Aussies can help out with brand recognition?

I wonder if they are the same as the cruizinimage kits?  They are less$$.

I think i read somewhere that these are just the cheap ebay ones (seller cruzinimage) re-packaged and more expensive.  I could be wrong though.

No domes and low compression like the El Cheapo's, as others have mentioned probably basically the same with a cool sounding name. You can market some and call them 'Tewster's Big Bore'

I asked the seller what kind  of HP gains one could expect and any dyno charts as evidence....

seller's response: I don't have any dyno charts for this kit but the horsepower increase will be significant due tho the increase in displacement. The actual increase in horespower would also vary based on any other esisting modifications that have been made to the engine. We have sold quite a few of these kits and always get great feedback on them.

Thank you very much for your enquiry. If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to contact us

Kind regards
Chris

They do look nice.....

I guess an obvious question is what kind of HP will a 836 upgrade give over stock form? Only changes are the pistons. ...

Biggest gain you could really feel on the saddle if all else is basically stock is probably more torque. Think a saying goes something like "There is no replacement for more displacement".

I wanna say 8 hp, torque and horsepower are just functions of each other anyway. I know it is in a couple threads out there tho

Haven't heard of those brand of pistons in Australia. That seller has a lot of them for sale for various bikes. I'm interested to see how Terry's elcheapo pistons go in his bike that he got from ebay. Something similar I think.

If you want to improve the engine, use 836 with higher compression like 10. something:1. More explosive power but need higher octane. If you want to use a cam with longer duration, higher CR is a must

These are like the mentioned cheap ones with compression Ratio 9.0:1.
A good choice if you like to be able to use gasoline with lower octane. I'm sure you will get more answers from people that have installed this kind of pistons. Or just search: cruzinimage

If you want to buy, check more sellers and avoid to spend too much.

I am in the process of rebuilding an engine with cruzinimage Stuff. When I get the cylinders back I could post something.

I have done polishing and port matching on the head too

Yes, he has, and I asked his opinion.  He said with a couple tweaks, they seem to be fine.  Time will tell.  Tews - ask the seller where the kits are made.  That may give a clue.

I built mine with the Ebay kit. The compression height was high in my case. I had to shim the cylinder to keep the pistons off the head. I ported mine and at first used a Honda F cam which is fun. I floated the stock spring/valves, bent an exhaust, and then installed APE's springs and retainers with an aftermarket cam 370/330 lift. It's a blast to ride. I put the ugly king and queen seat back on because it's easier to stay in the saddle than the stock seat. They are cast pistons but I like the quality, I did smooth them a little as per Hondamans suggestions.  Nothing wrong with that kit especially the cruizinimage price.
