I like the idea of the Renthal bars, especially with the bike's brat-style seat.  This is shaping up to be a great looking runner, Jared!

Next, I decided to glass bead the Renthal bars on low PSI to give it a nice matte silver finish. I cut them down 1" on each side and I'm 80% sure I'm going to run these over the Lossa bars. I think it'll suite the look of the bike better than the clubmans. Sorry Ravie  :P

It's ok. I'll only cry myself to sleep one night...then I'll get over it. hahaha

Thanks for the Kind words Don. Check out the photos of the mock up doe!!!!! I friggen love tho color combo!!!

Ravie, haha. You'll make it man.  ;D

So I gave the tank a really nice polish with a medium and fine compound on the orbital then waxed it with Mother's wax. I really cleaned the filler neck compartment and swapped out the keyed latch piece for a better condition one from another F tank I had. Brushed the filler cap and coated it with some Dry-Coat. There are still small chips here and there but damn I'm excited on how the tank and seat compliment each other. I like this better than my 550K build and that stings a bit. haha.

I had to used a bit of filler on the battery box. It should turn out ok after paint.

Jared,
Both builds are great. This one is just the bright shiny new object right now - meaning you may share that same level of enthusiasm once your other bike nears completion. Great color Combo!

Don, That's true. Seems like the new and exciting is always that way for me, meaning It'll probably fade. The other bike is way-better from a spec and detail side. It's just so far from being finished. Stresses me out. Not enough time in a day.

Where you located If you don't mind me asking? The east coast needs more rad bikes like this roaming around! We don't have much up here, at least Honda based.

Edmonton, Alberta Canada. So far from the east coast. haha.  The scene here is mostly Harley's and sport bikes but there is an up and coming vintage presence. Hopefully that continues.

Just checked out your new build thread. Looking forward to seeing the progress man. Looking really good.

If you like this bike, you should check out my 550 K thread. That bike's got a lot more love than this one.

Ahhh, gotcha!

Thanks! Yeah I saw that thread, nothing but amazing work. My last CB550K was built with the intent of being a grimey presentation of a garage build with limited tools. I stepped it up ever so slightly (not compared so some astonishing builds on here though) for my current build.

Is this your daily now? As far as motorcycle aspects.

Well, today I got the carbs off and apart. Cleaning them up and inspecting them a bit before I send them off to James Hale AKA Harisuluv on here. He did the carbs on my 550K and they are amazing.

NOS intake boots and seals arrived today as well. With all this I had time to polish up the breather cover a bit. Leaving it semi dull to fit with the rest of the bike.

I'm also painting the battery box/electronics tray as we speak. I don't
know how my wife puts up with me and my messes. The joys of living in an apartment.  :P

Haha, yeah Don. The rest of my skin carries suite. Just finished a huge torso piece from the collar bone all the way down to waistline. Been getting tattooed since I was 18; 10 years now. Some I regret, others I don't but I have no problem with my choices. Some see otherwise but it hasn't stopped me from anything in my life so far.  :)

Yep, Tofield is mega rural. I've been there a few times when I played hockey as a kid. I think it's an hr or so drive from Edmonton.

Thanks, I'm liking the tank colour too. I just hope I like it as much when it's on the bike. I'll take some photos of it mocked up soon.

Best to PM Harisuluv yourself. I'm sure it depends.
