Just thought I would post a photo of my 1971 CB500-4 and my sons 2014 CBR500R
Nice see these bikes together to see the evolution of what was & what is now  :)

Cool pic. Your bikes looks stunning sitting there, a true example for your son of how to maintain/restore a bike and keep it looking factory fresh for 40+ years.

Would be interesting to see a resto-mod of an SOHC using the new CBR bike as donor parts (not yours/his) in lieu of GSXR parts.

Yes a resto mod would be great for the CB500/4 but it will stay original as it would be crazy to hack up a good original bike.

I never meant for your 500 to be the donor. Some other dilapidated abandoned POS, but use a new, wrecked 500rr as the modern donor.
