Years ago I bought out an old back in the day drag racer who ran a big bore (1000cc) cb750. Recently I was digging through some of the old stuff and found some things I really don't know that much about. so here they are...

1) Mukuni carbs. As near as I can tell the PO had these setup individually, not racked, on a cb750 engine with a K0 throttle cable. They are even numbered as to what cylinders they feed. All I can tell is that they are mukuni smoothbores. What can you guys tell me?:

2) are these strut bars. I've never seen anything like them and they are setup for wheelie bar mounts. All aluminum, hollow but not cast - looks to be machined billet. Probably home made but wanted to make sure they weren't CirCycle or anything like that (the circycle ones I have seen are all flat stock):

so...thoughts?

Those look like Mikuni VM roundslide carbs to me. I had a set on my KZ1000 dragbike. Worked great. You can likely find some details on the carbs at this link. http://www.mikuni.com/pdf/vmmanual.pdf

How big are the carbs? Are they being sold?
I am actually. Looking for a pair for 350 2win......... Depending on price, .and if someone wants other half.
Or I use a half set off a KO.....

That was my thinking, there is so much work into it for a home made part. I have the wheelie bars too for the struts and they were all spherical rod ends and chromed tubes so someone spent a lot of time on making those as well.

Inlet Side Inside Diameter is 30mm.

Considering selling them but need to know what they are first. If you want to make an offer PM me.

You beat me to it Frank. Lol. I would have used the full set on a SOHC.

Nobody has dibs. you want them pm me. I'd much rather not split them up and would like to see them back on a cb750.

Try to find a 4-1 throttle cable that fits these round slides, maybe PAUL GAST could make a one only set

I think the PO used a k0 cable. Not sure100 %. However you don't need a 4-1 cable because you can use the more common 2-1 cable and a dual pull throttle.

4-1 cable on e-bay for the old 750 carbs 1969? $1000 would be a fair price........... for these 30mm carbs and bought many sets of carbs that cost more.

Point well taken PeWe: Buy 4 new on ebay for $80 each and a 4-1 cable on ebay for $30 for a 30mm set up round slides [ total cost $350 plus shipping ] better than a used set of 29's in a bank for $700-$1100. You would get easier mounting and 1 mm more go flow !!!!!

Jaguar, I'm pretty sure the ones our member has for sale are the real deal. Someone make him a realistic offer and you'll have a good set of carbs.

I have had those in my hands and know what they are.

Was talking about some of the sub $100 carbs that show up on ebay.
I know that some of the mini bike guys had issues with them not actually being mikuni.

Don't mean to derail this thread, more of just something to talk about.

BAD Carbs from CHINA : Maybe WALLMART could sell these look like [ KNOCK OFFS ] MIKUNI 30MM carbs as the TV, COMPUTERS, PRINTERS, PHONES , COFFEE MAKER in my home all comes from CHINA. Bet this : Go to WALLMARTS and try to find one thing MADE IN JAPAN for sale

?? My son is working in CHINA and I will have him look these carbs over at the MANY cycle parts stores in SHANGHI and send me a set of 4 to try out , he is a wrench spinner for 40 years and owns 26 MOTORCYCLES.

Pops, I think Jaguar's point is that they are counterfeit unlicensed knockoffs that are made in China, and that they don't meet mukuni's quality standards.

Yes there are good parts and bad parts made in China, and a large amount of manufacturing for the work market is done there, but if I buy a mukuni carb made in China, I at least want it to be an actual licensed and monitored product.

All this is moot because my mukunis are made in Japan.
