I have a 550 and I would like to repaint the engine. A paint I like for colour is Hycote VHF Silver Grey, followed by clear lacquer. Now for this to cure the engine has to reach 220 degrees. I have used Simonsiz 5 wheel silver previously but would like to use a more heat resistant paint.
Does anyone know what temperature a SOHC Honda engine would reach? (Hycote supplied the info re the paint).
