First bike build CB750 into Cafe

So I bought my first bike.  I bought it just to build it, I dont ride bikes but have always wanted to build one.  So I got a '73 CB750.  The bike was already have disassembled when I got it.  So its a big puzzle that I might need some help with.  Here are some pictures of the bike when I bought it:

looks like you have a good starting point.
Best advice I can give you is take pics as you disassemble it and don't think of the whole project ahead of you. lots of small steps done often.

You might just want to get it running reliably before you go tearing it apart.  See if it actually runs and what systems need repair or replacement parts (brakes, electrical, carburetors, engine, suspension).  That way, you can ascertain what it needs.  In the mean time, you can start designing the overall bike and start sourcing components that you know you will need (some sort of air filter system -- airbox, pods, velocity stacks).

Yea I bought an electronic ignition system and new spark plugs and oil.  I want to start the engine and then tear it down.  I already figured out most of what I want to do with it.  Im not going to go too crazy about it.

I was told that it was free. But I have no idea since theres no oil in it at the time Im not trying it.  Once I get a new oil tank and hook it up, I will do a compression test on it.

Just because the oil tank was removed, does not guarantee there's no oil in the motor. Pull the dipstick or loosen the oil pan drain bolt and verify there.

I'd encourage you to open some tappet covers and drizzle some oil directly into the head, and perhaps drizzle some Marvel Mystery Oil into the cylinders through the spark plug holes before rotating the crank by kick starter or start button. With the condition of the exterior of that bike, the internals are in question.

Nice! I'm at 25 cars since I've been able to drive and 11 bikes as well. I built mine last year then sold it. :/ I've been shopping for another or another E30.

Thats a very nice one! Mine isnt very nice I paid $1000 for it then spent alot of money to make it a daily.  I love miatas, had a MSM couple years back (~210rwhp) that was a blast. I'm even putting a miata suspension into one of my volvos.
