Hi All,
I used a 76' CB750F rear hub to create a custom rear wheel for my 78' CB750F, only problem is that since I am going with a wider sportbike tire I am going to need to use a spacer between my rear sprocket and the hub. That leads me to the issue at hand...the hub bolts are not long enough, that is, they do not give enough thread to put a nut on top of the sprocket (see pics below). I'm of the assumption that the hub bolts can be removed (I think they are threaded in??) but I had the whole hub powdercoated so its damn near impossible to get them to move.
So..
1) Are the bolts removable?
2) If yes, can I just find longer ones to give me enough space to bolt the sprocket and spacer on?
2) If yes to both above, whats the best way to get the bolts out? Take it back to the powdercoating shop and have him melt the coating off so I can get them out?
Thank you so much in advance
Sean
