All's good, Foyil. We can't learn when we don't make mistakes. Afterwards, it's called "experience". Get to Retro's age, and hell, you'll be experienced too  ;)

He's so experienced, his first job after school was welding watertight doors on the Titanic. He knows better now.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of it's victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S. Haha well you all remember what it was like being young and foolish right?  ;D (PS I'm 27) You've gotta learn somehow! That being said, this forum has been invaluable to me in finding the info I need!

Much appreciated Retro & Calj!

Okay, so now where I'm at..The most grief-free route would be to spend the $50 and order a new rear sprocket from cyclexchange. However, that cyclexchange rear sprocket has a 10mm offset and my current front sprocket has a 9.5mm (3/8") offset, will this pose a problem? As I'm writing this I just noticed the offset front sprocket on cyclexchange is also 3/8" so I think I just answered my own question.
