Rocs, Rocs, Rocs, 6 at a time,  you have it bad, and you have expanded to the 750 . You're  growing up.
I think it will be interesting to see what you think of the 750 after you get comfortable playing with them for a while. I've tinkered with a few over the years but always came back to the 550s, just like them better.
I'd be more interested in the engine numbers so's to identify the engines,so you know what you really have, but that's just me, also a 550 guy.
  Nice score.

I take one tomorrow. But I am 100% certain the VIN tag says 9/69.

Would there be A Vin on the engine anywhere else than the obvious spot?

I am interested to start learning about the cb750's. At the end of the day this is all a hobby for myself and I enjoy learning more about these bikes. However, I will always favor the 550's.

As for the engine numbers, I posted them in the thread already. These were all directly off the frame plate and engine case.

It's took me 6 years to acquire  4 Honda's, 3 CB750's and a 77 naked Goldwing. Here you go Rocs bringing 6 bikes home in one day ??? Yeah I think the addiction has set in ;D When you get a chance post some pics of the whole bunch.

So where did you have to travel to pick up this assortment of old Honda's. I've seen some CL ads recently in North Carolina and Va for a few people wanted to unload a stable of bike s they've collected over the years some in fair shape and some not so.

The last 2 pics, 76 CB550, 74 CB750 the bikes look pretty complete. With a little TLC you'll be good to go ;). Are the original pipes on both bikes in good shape.

Yes, the pipes are in really good condition. The sunrise orange bike in the first set of pictures is all there as well. The exhaust just needs to be reinstated.

Hey, Rocs! Good for you...nice snag! Where are you in PA.?  I'm in Willow Grove, just north of Filthadelphia. Been looking for a 750 to go along with my 550. Maybe we could work out a deal for a 750 and give you some cash flow to use on the work for the others in the herd. If interested shoot me a PM and I'll send my phone #. Again, congrats on a great buy.

It's really to bad the KO did not have the original carbs or air box. You could get some $$$ for those. Maybe you will find them in the parts he gave you. Looks nice a nice find for you there.

Hey guys, I just checked the plate again on the 1970 KO. The build date is actually 11/69.

I have a local guy that wants to purchase. Anyone have an idea of what its worth? It is missing a lot of the original parts like the airbag, carbs, tank...

11/69 sounds right.. IMO i would think that bike would be around $1000 it looks like it needs everything but the fork ears :).   Maybe worth more to someone who is looking for a big project K0.

Wow what an exciting score. If the history of these bikes is even a little in question, my first action would be to pour 2 ounces of two stroke engine oil into each cylinder of each bike. I would then attempt to turn each of the engines over and not stop until they all moved at least slightly. If they will turn over they can probably be made to run.  Two stroke oil is designed to burn off completely with little or no ash. Any engine seized tight in spite of these efforts gets an automatic promotion to he parts department. There are lots and lots of other things that could be done but IMO this is useful as a starting point...............bear

My 11/69 bike is 1014100. I'm always looking for a correct range engine for it. the one I saw was a really modified 915 and the owner had no intention of letting it go.

Hey Rocs,

Think your missing a 400f might be time to add one of those to the stable.  I would not sell the K0 even for a 1k with lots missing.  They are very hard to come by and you might want one down the road and have to get it from 2 or 3 states away.  I only found one in the past 6 years, but did not act fast enough.

If I was offered $1000.00 for the bike pictured I think I would take the money and run and know I am saving a lot to try and bring it back. Not much left there and you say no wrinkle tank, seat, airbox, carbs,  oil tan is gone etc etc. Does the engine even turn over ? Take the money and run and as it seems you are a good picker just keep your eyes open.  These old bikes pop up a lot if your tuned in   ;)

Hmm... Maybe Erik is right on this one all the engine screws are to brown rust.  Trying to remove any of them and you are guaranteed to have some "fun".

Looks like everything is stuck.  I'd take the cash.
