Hello from Australia
« on: February 02, 2015, 10:28:39 PM »
Hello and thanks for allowing me to join the forum, I am restoring a K7 which is now about half way through assembly, but still trying to source various parts.
I live about 60 miles south of Sydney near Wollongong, I usually ride a BMW R1150RT as well I have a Bultaco 250 Sherpa T , I am enjoying the Honda project
with the exception of parts as there is almost nil here in Australia but will keep scouring the globe for bits as long as I don't have to mortgage the house to pay
for them.

Cheers,
Mick.

Welcome to SOHC Mick. You have come to the right place if you have anything at all to do Honda 4's (single cam). You can come here with a DOHC and nobody will mind but don't expect much info. I hear ya about parts. Its not that they aren't around..........scarce in some places for sure but they can be obtained if you don't mind insane shipping fees. I have a gas tank that needs a ride there to Oz. Last time I checked it was right around $100 US to send it. I just had a guy in Canada that wanted to buy a triple tree and master cyl. from me. It fit into a 12x12x6 inch box and weighed 8.5 lbs. $55 to ship from Calif.!!! What a racket!! Anyhow....welcome and if you're looking for anything in particular let me know. I don't have much for the 77-78's but some stuff fits all the years depending on what you want. You need to get around 5 posts up to show pictures. Would like to see a pic of the Taco....love those old smokers.

G'day Mick,

Welcome aboard. You'll find that there's a largish Kangaroo Mafia here. And that ain't a bad thing...is it?
