well i decided to look into a bike i found in the green sheet and.. well.... major parts score

there is a bike in there as well as two engines two sets of wheels (a harley rim tied to a honda hub) i assume and a set of comstar looking rims said to be off a cx and a crap load of random parts

and of course my new addition the 74 with 6 inch over forks that he didnt mention which is why i had to lay her down in the truck

i got a lot of figuring out to do... but until then im gonna tear her apart and scub scrub scrub

heres a better pic in the daylight... i really was thinking about a resto but needing pipes and forks plus a few other odds and ends i really dont know what i wanna do

the headlight seems different... maybe its just the ears

im going to start going thru all the stuff i got tonight ill post some pics

Soft tail rat chopper would be a pretty easy deal at that rate. Use the harley laced hub with it, run some tail fin mufflers out back further and simplify the electronics. That or sell off the extended forks, the harley hub setup, king and queen seat, comstars and all the other parts (think I spied an engine there) and have enough to get a decent used seat, stock forks, a cheap 4 into 1 exhaust and probably have some cash left over. Cafe would be easily doable too instead of stock if that's your thing. Overall from the pics if the engine / trans are in good shape it wouldn't take much to get this to a decent rider.

so there was an exaust and a bunch of yamaha parts i didnt see... i think one of the top tripple trees is off a yamaha..... the master cylinder is theres a set of yamaha carbs.

i now have in my posession at least 5 honda master cylinders a few engines and a ton of wheels and rims.... the comstars, the 16 and a set of xs rims are for sale as well as the 6 over forks... oh yeah the seat also

I would just take that bike all apart and clean and strip the frame. Start from there and put a nice bike together with all of those parts.

BTW..What is the Green Sheet? Which state,city?

those Yam triples could be RD, XS, TX?...all pretty interchangeable....rd's and tx500 use 33mm fork tubes...

heres a shot of the other mystery pipes i mounted em on the bike(semi mounted they might hug the engine a little better if mounted propperly) no marking on either set... any body recognize them?

i kinda like em.... i wonder how well they clean up... i bett they make a racket

after some issues with the jugs and getting nowhere with the fork seals i had hit a stall on this build... not to mention this weather was always a touch colder than i cares to fuss with.... i joined a local vintage page on facebook and scored some near mint pipes and a tank and covers in the color i was planning on doing up my paint in... for less than i think i could have gotten them painted.. so i think this might be the boost i needed to get back to work... heres the pics the seller sent me of the tank and pipes
scoring these pipes im seriously rethinking selling this bike and just keeping it as the bike ive wanted
