arrogance and no brains;I'm glad they caught this one. That's the best place to park a bike in a High Visibility area.I was reading a thread a few years ago here on the forum of a former bike thief giving us all a 'Heads Up' on what not to do.
The former thief also said to make sure your garage/nighttime parking area is 100% guarded/protected.  ;)

The indoor garage where I park at work in downtown Chi, was my big plan when I had my bike ready. Thankfully, I ran into another employee who happened to live in that building. She warned me ahead of time, apparently that garage is notorious for bike theft and nothing was ever caught by the security cameras. Eventually, they figured out a pattern where a minivan kept parking in the garage at the same time of the thefts. Basically, they were loading up the bikes in the back, and all the security cams saw at the entrance and exit was a routine van arrive and leave. No idea if any were recovered, pretty sure they were all parted out quickly.
