Negative battery cable
« on: February 19, 2015, 08:16:59 AM »
I broke the battery end off my negative cable while trying to bend it to fit the LI battery. I bought a generic cable end to solder on for now till I get the correct cable. I have been looking through parts lists and although it looks like more than one part number will work I would like to get the cable that is correct for the K1 if possible. What part number do I need?

You don't necessarily have to get a battery cable from Honda, any generic cable with the same gauge wire and correct ends will do. I got one from Dime City Cycles to replace my negative cable, works great.

I had the same issue with losing a terminal off the battery end. I took the cable to a NAPA where they were able to use a crimper to put a new terminal on the original cable. They have proper sized connectors in stock.

Thanks guys, it's taken care of. Now if it wasn't 15 degrees and windy with icy streets I would go for a ride. ;D
