Contact points gap? for a CB750k7
« on: February 11, 2015, 11:33:27 AM »
Im not sure if Im doing it right but I just replaced my Diachi points with TEC points, they are holding the gap that i set, which is nice but I cant get the timing right. I have the point opening up on the "F"/"T" mark but they are opening up on the wrong cylinders, so here it goes 1-4 points are opening up on the 2-3 "F"/"T" mark and the 2-3 points are opening up on the 1-4 "F"/"T" mark.. I have been racking my brain trying to figure this out, i have been going at it for a while and cant seem to get the points lined up properly with the wright cylinder. Is there a trick to gapping point with the wright cylinders???

I'm not sure if this post will make it since its still under review or that its necessary but figure I would still answer my own question and maybe help someone else.... so, I cleaned my spark advancer and realized I didnt assemble the spark advance roller/sleeve in the right position/180 degrees off, I took it apart and gave it a 180 degee turn my timing mark lined right up....
