Would a Mikuni BS32 carb work on a CB750...
« on: February 14, 2015, 03:45:17 PM »
I got a deal on two somewhat complete 750's (74 and 77) with one title. I figured I could make one a runner by combining the two on a budget. Turns out I ended up  without carbs for either, and that both motors are seized up as well.  >:( I should be getting a third motor with good compression next week and can start sorting it out from there...

But to the point. I did get a set of mikuni bs32 carbs off of a gs550, the output side of the carbs seems to match up well to the motor, but would there be any major reason why they would not work aside from jetting and hooking up the throttle and choke?

Carb to cylinder spacing?

Eric
Is there anything more fun than riding? They are between your legs and are quiet when you turn them off.

They seem to match up well, but the boots are very dried out so I didn't force them in. I doubt i could get the right ones in. I had to hammer in a couple of the boots with a rubber mallet and greased up, at least one of them was split pretty bad.
