Been over a month since I posted, but we are in the riding season so I get to the bike in bad weather. A couple weeks ago I painted the center stand, side stand and some assorted black parts. Put those on today so I can start to get the 341's in place. Carbs are done and just waiting for install. Next comes plugs, plug caps, chain and I should be able to see how she runs.

Got the o-ring chain installed today. Next I will install the 341's as weather permits. Been doing a lot of riding so shop time is limited. Already had 4 weddings this summer which cuts into the free time too.

Will you plug the chain oiler?

Not really a lot to do on it. Plugs, cut end off spark plug wires and install new caps, install the carbs and should be ready to fire. Yes, will plug the oiler too. Oh...and add oil

Heat and humidity in WI is terrible and supposed to get worse the next few days. Was up early to get the KO out for a ride. Then spent the afternoon in the shop with the AC on to finally get the 341's on this bike. Also got the plugs and new plug caps in place. Been wanting to get these 341's on for a while now, but just to busy so far this summer. Carbs are ready to install so just have to get to it. More as we progress...have a good one guys. Not sure why the pics load sideways from my iPhone, but just click on the pic and it will load right side up.

Nick this is the sunflake orange as you recall. Side covers were broke, but I have a nice extra set here I will use. Tank is all OEM with the faded paint. Don't plan to paint it...will let the next owner do what he wants to finish it up or drive it "as is." Plan to change the fork seals this winter, but want to be sure she runs good before I dig into those.
Hope we can get on the GZ ride again this summer with Dennis.

I been getting my rides in around sunset lately. 90 today and high humidity in the 70% area. Guess I can not complain with the 100's Stev-o...that is a bit on the sticky side

Today I tried the first start up and find no spark at the points. New condensers are in, but I did not change the TEC points as they looked so good. I will check the coils, but I have never had a bad set of coils on a 750 on any of these bikes. Starter was working great, but then all of a sudden it quit working unless I pulled in the clutch. Looks like a neutral switch issue. The good...the oil light went out

As is customary with these bikes the coils are fine. Primary and secondary testing gave me good readings. I now suspect the kill switch or points. Like I said I already installed new OEM condensers, but the TEC points look really good so I did not change those out. Cleaned and gapped the points, but may change them anyway.

SUCCESS...found the kill switch and ignition switch were fine. Did continuity test on the wiring to the points and that was good. Took a closer look at the points and did some adjustments and the spark was there. Ran the bike on the lift and she runs and idles good. Next comes the road test...

We have liftoff...put in a 40 mile test ride today. She pulls away really good, shifts smooth through all gears and handles like a 15,000 mile CB750 should. No oil or gas leaks noted. One of the main leaks was that tach seal which I replaced. And my Vermont plate looks good too

Plans are to hold onto this through the WI winter and remove the forks to replace the rusted ears, replace fork seals and polish the legs. Then I will sell it. Really do not need another K3 in the stable. Not bad for a bike that was found locked up.

Very nice save. The more of these that are out there the better. I'm not one of "these guys" that knows what the hell they're doin', but I do know that these bikes are great - dare I call 'em classic? Ride on and sell as needed to keep room for more.

What kind of chain lube are you running Johnie? It sure looks nice and clean to work with.
