Engine Performance Providers
« on: February 19, 2015, 06:06:17 PM »
Just getting all my ducks in a row, as it were. With the engine rebuild that I'll be doing, the actual 'hands on', loud American cousins call it wrenching, I'm seeking any good, and that's in the literal sense of engine performance providers, ie porting, machining, balancing etc.

This is for a 750 SOHC. Using this site for all my 'go to' stuff excellent references are mostly USA based. Checking out their websites some also do international orders, (shipping costs are a killer, either donate a kidney or your first new born).

So, in keeping with giving work to fellow Aussies are there any decent providers out there, or do I sell a kidney?

g'day mate, i'm also in sunny melb and if you're looking for a workshop to do an engine build you could do worse than contact Basil at Headworks in Murrumbeena (95685226), he's been building and riding for a loooooong time and is well respected in the industry,  tell him Spotty sent you

our bike club is having our annual bikeshow there on  (i think) 18th april if you want to wander down and have a look at some of basil's work (as well as plenty of other bikes too), bring like minded mates
i'll post a notice on here in the Oz section when i know for sure what date its going to be

cherrs, spotty
i blame Terry

Gday Mark, I just sent you a PM but found the answer here, Rex Wolfenden is in Melbourne {Trex racing}and is one of the best honda engine builders in the country, if not, the best, he will be expensive though, he has some real trick gear... ;)
