I can NOT get this lose. As you can see I've had to deepen one hole that the tool kept popping out of and rounding..

Tips?!

You didn't read my book? (Just teasing...)

You must FIRST drill out those 4 dimples you see that are holding the retainer still. Then it comes out easily.

clean it
heat cycle it
fill the seam and dimples with PB blaster and let it sit overnight.
a few good hits w a punch will turn it right out.
'78 750K (F3 engine) PD42b's, Modified airbox w/K&N  filter, 40/110 jets, 1 needle shim, IMS@ 1 turn out. Kerker + Cone 18" QuietCore
