17" vs 18" rear rim on 78 750K
« on: February 23, 2015, 06:21:49 AM »
I'm in a quandary.  I have my 750 nearly ready to start reassembly.  My rear 17" rim is a mess and can not be made to look good at all.  I've tried searching the internet for weeks now looking for a 2.5 x 17 - 40 rim.  There ain't none out there. I can find 18" rims but they all seem to 2.15.

So, I have a few questions.  Has anyone here tried the 18" route on a 77 or 78 750K? Or does any one know of a good source for a nice 17" rim?

Any help will be appreciated.

D.I.D. rins in 2.5 x 17 are available through Buchanan. http://www.buchananspokes.com/categories/did_rims.asp

Thanks for that site.  Those rims are aluminum and I would prefer to stay with chrome in order to maintain an original look.  However, I may have to go that route.

Thanks again.
