I replaced some burnt ground wires when I got my '75 750 and it's been reliable since then. Now with fresh paint on the frame I'm checking the whole harness on a bench and it's in very good condition.
I am curious about the T junctions. There are 8 or 10 in the harness in addition to the multi-bullet connectors. I would expect Honda to use crimp connectors for all T junctions. What I find are very clean, workmanlike soldered junctions wrapped in thin and narrow gray electrical tape. Is this stock? While the soldering is very nice, the tape is wrapped so generously that it makes a pretty big lump.
Can anyone tell me what type of connection Honda used to make T junctions in the wiring harness?
Thanks.
