crankcase oil tray?
« on: March 01, 2015, 01:53:15 PM »
Hi,
Can anyone anyone explain what is the purpose of part number 10 in the attachment? I don't have it and I'm wondering if its really needed?
I'm also looking for part number 6 if anyone can sell me one? (oil gallery stopper plug)

That looks like the tray that feeds oil to the chain oiler through final drive.  Don't know why it would be there in that diagram but I can't think of anything else that would be. Not needed, keep up on chain maintenance.

Definitely the oil catch tray for the final drive auto-oiler.  It's on this diagram because it bolts into the upper case.

Thanks guys, I thought it looked like the auto oiler catch tray. I just couldn't figure why it was shown there as if it was at front of engine. Thought it better to ask rather than be sorry later......
