Hodaka's were the worlds fastest toaster and build extremely tuff!   Had the pleasure to ride them when I was a kid.

Wouldn't be my first choice for a trip like that now, but would probably try it if I was offered the chance.

Back in the day when small bores were popular, they were the king. Couldn't go any riding area in So calif without seeing one. Im sure it was an interesting trip

That would have been one hell of a ride in 1973 on a little Hodaka mate. I'm trying to find the story about the guy who did the same ride on a CB750 K2 pretty much non stop in just a few days, it's here somewhere, and a short movie, I think?

To be honest, I'd rather do it on a CB750 than that little Hodaka, although the CB750 guy fell off a few times on some of the dirt roads of the day. To my knowledge, most of that route would be on sealed roads now. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)

If it works good, it looks good...
