Frame/VIN Numbers
« on: April 11, 2015, 05:34:10 AM »
Hey folks - new guy here with a recently acquired barn find (non running) 78 750A.
My question is can anyone tell me if the frame and engine numbers should match?

I've read through previous posts regarding how many were made etc....but specifically I'm looking to see if these should be the same short of the "AE" designation for the engine.

Mine do not and it leads me to believe there's more history to this bike than the previous owner has told me.

Thanks in advance for any responses

No, the engine numbers never* match the frame number exactly.
