Hey guys I made a major mistake today. I've been working on a set of b500 carbs that were gummed up stuck. I soaked them in simple green and water for what ended up to be months before they loosened up any. this ended up with some white powdery residue on lots of parts, including the floats. I made the mistake of thinking that they were hard plastic, so I put them in the media blaster to clean them. Well, I found out that they are actually a kind of foam, and the media, as soft as it is, (Soft-ish plastic) wore away. Well, now I am on the hunt for a replacement float, and I found one on eBay, but it has a small chunk out of it. Would this be ok to use? I'm concerned that the foam might degrade in gas and clog my carb.
