Throttle tube cover
« on: January 21, 2018, 02:05:25 PM »
I doubt this will gather much attention but I am having trouble finding what I need.

I purchased an OEM style throttle tube for my rebuild. I am ditching the OEM controls and going with the M-Switches and M-Blaze turn signals. Is there a part that I can purchase to cover the push pull ends of the throttle tube?

I did notice that Biltwell makes a really nice throttle tube, but it looks as if the ends wouldn't allow for the M-Blaze turn signal to be installed.

gg, wouldn't you need some sort of minimalist throttle cable assembly like this?  https://i.pinimg.com/originals/e8/12/77/e8127760c9ab2ce041106f62fa2fc8e5.jpg

Yeah most likely. To be honest though, I have no clue what I'm doing. But that setup looks perfect, easy and minimalist. I've been in contact with a rep from Biltwell, and their 7/8 whiskey throttle tube seems like it will work. It's all inclusive, but a bit more bulky than the image you posted. Still I think it will work. Thanks for posting the image. If it's not too much to ask, where did you find that picture?

I used one of those on my 550 when the stock switchgear was trashed. Got it from dime city cycles. Pretty sure I remember it being EMGO brand when I opened it up. It was nice and thin and worked well. Drilled and tapped for stock Honda push/pull throttle cables.
