Spuced up my K1 a little today
« on: March 05, 2015, 04:00:03 PM »
I took the 16" wheel off the back and laced up a new Honda 18"er and got rid of the rusty spokes on the front wheel. I think it looks a lot better.
Before:

New shiny parts.

On the truing stand.

Done.

I like the new back wheel a lot better.

Great work!  I have a K1 with new painted stuff same as your waiting to be put on.  It really looks great!  Any place for those front spokes?  I save them and get them replated.

I am going to re-plate the front spokes and save them. Anyone want the 16" back wheel and spokes? Pay the shipping and they are yours.

Great job! Those wheels really set 'er off! Hmm...maybe I need to think about new boots for my old buddy? I have a new pair of tires I'd like to install, maybe a good time to do both!

I've seen those.  Could you give us a ride review after you get a chance to road test them?  Thx

I will. I just got back from a short 7 mile ride(it's only 33 degrees)and while I was out I stopped by the airport for some good gas.
