1975 Honda CB360t
« on: March 03, 2015, 07:25:31 AM »
Hello guys,

I'm new to the forum. Last summer I bought a 360 which was in a decent shape, and I finally started working on it two weeks ago.

This is my first ever bike and I have no past experience with fixing bikes.

Any quirks I should know about the bike?

And what should I do with the battery/electric box? I want to put it under the seat but I can't find any decent pictures of the set up that could work for my bike.

Thanks for reading. I'm excited to join this forum!

Look for dots above/below the dash in the serial number on your motor. If there, they indicate that your bike had the cam chain tensioner replaced by the dealer. If not, you have the stock tensioner which is prone to failure.
If it's worth doing, it's worth doing twice.

Yah, that cam chain tensioner was a safety recall. Lots of info on the web about it. I had mine replaced before I sold the bike.

I'm glad you told me. I'll check as soon as I get a chance!

Also, while we're at it, do you guys know what the dimensions for a rear hoop are for cb360t?

This is what I got but I'm not sure: 1" width of the frame tube, 6" center to center width. Does that seem right?
