unknown 750 cam profile
« on: March 02, 2015, 12:13:01 pm »
Years ago I was given a cam and was told "it's an RC cam". I fitted to my Seeley motor. I didn't know much about these things (still don't...) so I just put it in and no valves touched anything else - I was a happy camper.

I'm now rebuilding my Seeley and I've had the cam analysed to see what it is that I've got. The chap with the cam analysis computer likes the cam, but he can't identify the profile. It is definitely a regrind. So I'm attaching the print-out to this email and maybe someone can tell me what it is? And how I should time it?

Regards
Thomas

The lift seems to be very high, like Megacycle 125-x12

Thanks for that tip, PeWe. I'll spend some more time there.

i had a look at this and noticed the rocker ratio is inputed as 1.3:1 as far as i can tell the 750 uses 1:1 rocker ratio. if they are multiplying cam profile by rocker ratio your gonna get higher valve lift numbers then you should be.. This maybe why the lift seems so high. as for lift and duration im a little confused on the numbers
