I have a springer on my 550.
I'll dig up some other old adds for them.
They came in many lengths

There's quite a few springer front ends on CB750s over at www.hondachopper.com

Check out their gallery:  http://www.hondachopper.net/Gallery/index.html

As to how long they are?  Really f'ing long.  So long that you're often performing major surgery on the frame in order to run them.  That's one reason why the aftermarket frames from Amen and Santee and the like were so popular.

As a reference, the frorks you see in my avatar pic are +8" over stock, and they're nowhere near as long as the one in the pic you posted :)

I think my front end is a jammer.
Frame is an Amens.
All bolts up with OEM honda bearings.

So just buy a springer that has a similar lenght to what your stock forks are?

Well then measure your fork and decide how much longer you want.
Are you planning to rake your frame?

The length of one on an Amen frame, means nothing to your frame.

Anything over 4-6 will start looking silly.
Any really old one will be longer than that.

Personally it is all subjective, I'm not a fan of any longer on a stock frame.
Once the bottom frame tube is no longer parallel with the road I loose interest.

But like it has been said, you need to measure for what you want.
I would suggest you read up on the term trail, and learn how what you are changing will effect it.
