I don't think that's from a CB350. They had a 6mm bolt that held in the speedo cable. I did some Google image searching and the closest thing I came up with was from a Suzuki TS250. The speedo cable has a threaded collar that goes in that hole. Take a look in there and see if it has threads.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

I think I see a circlip on the inner edge of that speedo cable hole and that may be what retains the cable.

Lot's of road race guys use the T500 hub when doing Vintage racing CB350's,I've been told on hondatwins.net that they work real good.

dam still not 100% sure on this hub , got the speedo cable but its a screw in attachment at the hub end , anyone know if Suzuki did a circlip attachment , also drive takes a square ended cable (like some british bikes) the cable I have for a t500 has the forked end like the Honda tacho cable .

What if you remove the front wheel and clean out the inside of the front brake backing plate & hub to look for any i.d. marks in the castings ?

A lot of vintage racers have reported cracks in the webs inside the hub on T500 front drums. Check yours carefully before using. I've used the T500, XS650 and GT750 TLS drums on race bikes. My favourite is the Yamaha piece.

Looks like a Yamaha hub, just a guess but maybe first model RD250/350.  Yamaha inner cables have a square drive and the outer cable fitting to the hub also had an oring to keep moisture out of the speedo drive gear. They are retained by and internal wire circlip. Yamaha often cast the model code inside the hub and plate, and sometimes the 3 crossed tuning forks logo.

Not a T500, They have an extra "spoke hole" between each spoke.
