Rob from Phoenix
« on: March 07, 2015, 10:14:42 AM »
I am a new member from Phoenix AZ. I am working on getting a 1972 CB750 running. I finally talked my dad into parting with it since he hasn't ridden it in years. He's turned over the cylinders several times each year but it's been a long time since it was actually running. The bike is super clean, although there are some small items to take care of. Front brake, oil, brake fluid, clean the carbs, battery, starter switch, tires and the shifter spindle is sheared off. Looking forward to getting it back on the road.

Welcome Rob! The bike does look very clean!! If the carbs and tank were drained before the bike was parked, they may not need much attention.
The shifter spindle can be replaced easily, but it can be one of those "got to hold your tongue just right" deals. :D
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!

Thanks for that Scott. I picked up a spindle on ebay and I did find a great video that looks like it will help. I hope to get to that this weekend.
