Will an earlier 750 output shaft fit on a 77/78 motor?

Differences in the bearing width and bearing seat width, I imagine it could be done but you'd be better off getting a set of K7/K8 cases, thats what I've done... ;)

If You can't fix it with a hammer, You've got an electrical problem.

Yes but you will change the shaft offset length.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)
