Starting CB750 K7
« on: March 14, 2015, 09:28:07 PM »
Hi,

I own a CB750 K7 which runs beautifully in every respect bar one!  Once normal running temperature has been reached and the bike is switched off for a short period, say to fuel up, I experience difficulty starting the bike again using the electric starter.  She starts fine using the kick start but the electric starter fails to turn the engine fast enough for a start.  The battery is new and all connections in the vicinity of the battery box are clean and tight.

Cold starts are not an issue.

Could someone please advise what the problem may be.

Cheers,
Simon

Next time you're out for a ride, bring your multimeter with you. Check battery voltage when issue occurs. Cold starts OK on electric or kick? Using a battery tender between rides? Find the thread for checking your alternator on here.
