Brown/White feeds the headlight and gauges when the key is ON. On your model, there is no headlight OFF, so the Br/WHT is always hot with the key.

By the way, the Gr/Red runs from the Neutral switch thru the SSM to the gauge. Eliminate it from the handlebar, but you'd need to run it directly to the idiot light from the switch under the left side crancase cover (if you're using a neutral light?)
