Tulsa rider Dane Westby RIP
« on: March 24, 2015, 10:32:31 PM »
I guess my friends in Tulsa are saying they think someone ran him off the road or pulled in front of him.

It sucks. He was 28, in the prime of life.

I was crew racing an F1 down at Oak Hill when he was starting out on a sv650.  We figured that was 2003 or earlier.

A local kid on a Yamaha crotch rocket was killed here today. He was seen wheelieing and doing burnouts earlier. He was a first responder and ambulance volunteer. A car turned in his path, he may have been going fast, there was a long skid mark.

It was yellow and near here, I was worried it was the 77 400F I sold to the neighbor. It wasn't.

Never met the guy personally, but his racing was solid.
Every person that met him personally says the same words: real, humble, free spirit, kind, compassionate. Gosh, my eyes fill with tears every time a bright, promising light is extinguished.  :'(
God speed Dan, the world is saddest place today, my thoughts are with his family.
