Only one with the whole assembly, I'll get one with a measurement. See how it looks like the wear marks not consistent with were the points are running now?

Does anybody have any advice on putting the tank decals on my k2 ? Measurements ect. Or just put them on where they look correct?

Get one on where you like it.  Use painter's tape from fixed reference points to the decal.  Then pull off the tape to get your target and affix the second decal.

read somewhere here recently someone was having the same problem...turns out, if I remember right, shaft from another smaller bike fits and otherwise functions but is too long.  Just replace it.

Pic of it installed, definitely doesn't look like it is in far enough. I removed the shaft. Total length of 75mm

Cheers mate! I think it's correct, but the thread in the crank is damaged so therefore not letting the shaft go in all the way.  And of course the only tap Im missing in my kit is an 8mm.
If you could send me a measurement that would be awesome.

Tapped out the thread. All good now! Wonder how long the previous owner had been running it like that.
Also blasted my tank today got a very nasty surprise! Looked pretty neat beforehand!

That's a shame, looks like someone went after it with a stud gun at some point.

I say it's repairable but it would be a lot of work.  I'd look into sourcing a replacement.

That metal looks like it has been through a wringer or rather pushed and pulled.

IMHO, I'd source a cleaner looking replacement.

It's a hard one! Most tanks in Australia seem to be around  $500 for a decent one!

So I think I'm going to have a bit of a play around with the tank I've got and see what I can do. Luckily I have an extremely good paint and panel guy that helps me out!
