Clutch issue
« on: March 30, 2015, 07:38:13 PM »
Okay I had a K0 bike that had been sitting for a while the clutch was stuck so I pulled it and pulled all the disks apart then soaked them in oil for a few hours.  The clutch now works good and doesn't slip but it doesn't go into neutral when its stopped and when i stand along side it and put it in gear with the clutch pulled in it wants to pull forward.  The clutch disk had a lot of meat on them but the metal disks were smooth not dimpled like i'm used to seeing.  I adjusted the clutch twice turned it in clockwise then backed out a quarter.. Is it the springs or the smooth metal disks?  I use rotella 15/40 oil like I usually use...

You might try lowering the idle speed a little - usually makes it easier to find neutral.  On the clutch adjustment, might try backing it off an 1/8th of a turn instead of 1/4, then try the clutch again.
