1940's aluminum tricycle axle bearings

I'm sure some of us has done this before.  I just bought this tricycle and wheels bearings need replace.  I'm looking for clues or ideas on how to go about this before I break anything.

Soak with PB Blaster and then heat it up.  Pretty crusty....

I would think they are threaded axles but problem is I don't see threads to shoot penetrant for soaking. 

Bike overall don't look too bad in person.

The top looks like cheap push in bearings.
Is the trike aluminum or magnesium...almost looks like mag.

Frank, not so sure whether mag or aluminum but thinking it's the later as the bike is real heavy.   Crack on spoke? I did not see it.  Have to double check now.

Usually mag before cleaning will be blackish.., and will shine better.

 I figured that is what you had.. Check out Silver King balloon bicycles..

My friend Henry picked up a cast aluminum trike just like that about 20 years ago, but we never could find anything about it. His had a property tag from a SoCal school district, and a CA license plate decal.
The fork at the rear of the frame could be used to convert to a two-wheeler. IIRC, the pedal crank arms were welded to the front axle, making it impossible to replace the bearings easily?

A lot of heat and soak and beating on something fragile.

Look up bearing supply places in the nearest cosmopolis. We seem to find bearings for almost anything in OKC.
