I've got 2 wide ramps each 8' long, put them side to side and my kid while fire up his cbr, put it in gear, let the clutch out and then it idle it's way up the ramp while he walks beside it and I tell ya what the kid is pretty good at it. When he was in college and wanted to go to a track day he didn't always have a helping hand so he had to come up with a way to load the bike himself. Too risky for me to try it though.
Before i get the power ramp i had a 10ft double wide fold up walk up ramp. The last time I used it we were packing up for vacation with with bike in truck hauling camp trailer. It was after work, hot and tried and decided to load night before. Normally i would slowly clutch it sitting and walk up, got in a hurry and rode it up quickly, lost footing at top of ramp, fell off and the bike rested upside down on the edge of truck running. Luckily the bike didn't fall on me, broke my ribs on the fall.
Ive used it way more than anticipated, The initial cost was high ($1800) but hospital stay and missing work i figured it was worth it.
Plus some day might adapt it for my mobility scooter,
