Weekend weather at Valdosta
« on: April 07, 2015, 08:06:21 AM »
Weather conditions don't look favorable for the event on Saturday or Sunday. Time for me to rethink the trip. What say you Bill and Trey???

Damn, 80% chance of rain and thunderstorms, Sat and Sun.  :( :( :(
Already have A/L tickets and car rental paid for but refundable I think.
Hate to spend the money and time sitting in the hotel room watching it rain.  >:( >:( >:(

Keith, I agree. I'm 7 hours away so I've got to be certain the weather is conducive for racing ALL weekend. Not just on Friday. I'm going to make my final decision late Thursday night. I'll still have time to either pull out with an early track arrival time or be within the window for hotel cancellation.

I thought when we checked last night there was a chance for thunderstorms but doubt if they would last all day both days. I remember the forecast  being similar last race and the rain held off until Monday. Lets just hope we can race. I drove a long way to make it happen!

Look again Trey. As a long time racer, this gives me a lot of reason to pause. Definitely much more concerning than last years forecast. Sorry for the gloom and doom sound of my post but we can't ignore the potential of being rained out.

Unfortunately, cancellation of race plans at the last moment simply goes with the territory. Stick around, you'll get used to it- like it or not

Yep, they are pushing the T-Storms forecast back - Sat evening and Sun. I hope it delays so you guys get to race ALL weekend.

Turns out my daughter is having to have emergency gall bladder removal today. So it was the right call for me.
