Some pictures of my bike at a local motorcycle show
« on: April 05, 2015, 05:04:49 PM »
Hey guys,

I wanted to share some photos of my bike at a motorcycle show my bike was selected to be in. I have included a link to the entire photo gallery of all the bikes as well.

Enjoy,

J

Rocs,

Great looking 75 in Candy Jade Green.  I love mine, but it isn't stock -- rather, a slight restomod.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I hope you all get your hands on a Candy Jade Green or even a freedom green. They aren't easy to come by.

Also, if anyone has a Candy Jade Green NOS Honda tank or something damn near close to perfect, let me know. I have some imperfections on mine.

When I had my bodywork re-sprayed with VMR paint, the candy came out a bit more vibrant and dark.  Not so true to stock but I like it:

Since your post immediately follows mine, I assume you are referring to my '75 550K as "others destroying bikes when modifying them in strange ways."  If that's the case, replacing a torn seat cover, re-painting a dinged up tank, rebuilding the forks and brakes, upgrading to electronic ignition, changing out dry-rotted tires and replacing a completely rusted through exhaust hardly amounts to destroying my bike!!  Of course, if you referring to other "others," please feel free to let me know.

I definitely don't think Pewe was referring to you Don, not in the slightest, he's referring to the "cut and shut" brigade {rebel without a clue}... ;D ;)

I don't see anything wrong with your bike. I doubt anyone would find it chopped up. It looks nicely done. We all have a right to personalize our bikes.

I also doubt the comment was aimed at your bike. We see some pretty gruesome things here.

I would hope so, but PeWe did post it immediately after my post and it was the only example on this thread of a modified same model.

I think you probably took it wrong which is not hard. I would think it a general comment. As I said before   you see some pathetic things on here. I wish i cold find someone to do a paint job like you have.
