2009 Pontiac G8 GT
« on: April 08, 2015, 01:31:47 AM »
These cars come with a 6.0 361hp V8. 0 to 60 in just over 5 seconds and mpg is rated at 15 city and 24hwy. The reviews I've seen are mostly positive. I know Pontiac's are no longer made and I think these car were made in Australia. Has anyone ever owned one of these by chance and could give me their personal opinion. My son is thinking about maybe buying one.

thanks

Built on the Holden platform as i understand it. Don't know much else about them, I don't think they made the g8 for very long.
One thing I DO know is that they run, VERY FAST. My cbr600rrcaught one on the highway, but I had to work to get him
A friend of mine at a body shop who does a lot of dealer work has seen a few, told me they are  nice cars fwiw.

Yep, built by Holden, chev engine, a good handling car as well, They were called the Monaro here, a few were sold as GTO's as well, made only for a few years and are already becoming collectible here, their price will only improve as holden close down Australian production for good next year...
