I spent all weekend doing pre-riding season maintenance on my '77 CB750k; changed to stainless brake lines, new front and rear brake pads, new sprockets and chain, charged battery... After getting everything back together I went to start it up since it sat all winter. Bike started fine, I let it idle and warm up a few minutes. I went to shift into first gear and NOTHNG. The shift lever moves like it wants to shift gears but nothing's happening.
The bike has sat since mid November but prior to that I had put 3000+ miles on it over the past two years. Could the clutch plates be stuck from sitting and the cold temperature? I haven't messed with the clutch at all since I parked it and I don't think I touched anything putting the transmission cover back on after changing the chain and sprockets. Bike was shifting fine when I put it in the garage for the winter. I plan on changing the oil later this week when my new filter comes in the mail. Besides fresh oil and some longer time warming up are there any suggestions on unsticking the clutch?
