Anyone familiar with this LED headlamp?
« on: July 20, 2016, 05:34:44 AM »
I'm looking to upgrade my headlight and wondering if anyone has any experience with this particular LED? I'd be putting it in a CB 550.
Thanks in advance.
Pat

No previous experience, but it is DOT approved. So that's good.

I've seen plenty of DOT approved headlights on cars that I wouldn't want to use to light a darkened hallway, much less a dark road at 60mph.

The cutoff on that low beam is pretty dramatic. I would like to see a conventional halogen bulb tested in exactly the same fashion to get an apples-to-apples comparison.
