Knew you would get a kick out of that post.

But back on topic.
Who is going to mail me that ignition again?
lol

To be fair it is a bit of work to make the money.  But I cant see how you could not at the very least double the $600 investment.
Seller is smoking crack at squeaking $3k out of it though.

The listing is correct about that.

Front wheel looks like a Lester

Doh, would have helped identify that piece (dist) if I bothered to read the actual listing.

Doesn't look like $3k in parts if they were new.

The seller is obviously not a motorcyclist or he would know the difference between "clubman" bars and handlebars that were just turned upside down. Bike looks to be among cars that look as though they been parked awhile, salvage yard maybe?
Is that seat aftermarket or off another bike, Yamaha?

Seat looks Honda DOHC to me.

I assume the seller is a flipper.
Looks like he has a few other bikes.  Knows enough that the one has special parts on it.
Also knows enough to list them to bait all the hipsters in Austin too.

Did they use an internal or external coil?

Not sure seemed not to have one,, it's not near me now.
I suspect. Similar concept to RC distributor.

I would have assumed it ran an external one like the RC set ups.
In that case wouldn't any 12 volt coil work?

Looks like sea world is full of 500/550 projects.

SO I figure that distributor would fit in one of those $15 flat rate boxes.....
Really want a funky ignition for my Chopper.
Been collecting ARD parts.  But think it would be better to just have a whole unit from a 550/500

tx obviously has dibs on this but if he doesnt pick it up and you really want that dist, I might be able to help out.  It's about an hour and a half from me.

If jag passes up, I'll take the whole bike and will bring it back to life.  No parting out :)

This is how a cafe racers should be created from!  ;)

The seller has quit the collection and is ready to sell. Bike graveyard type situation. There was more than 30 bikes there maybe more. Guy going tomorrow can't take all of them. lol. So reach out to the guy from the craigslist ad and he just might have what your looking for. Not sure if he ships stuff but you never know. All weathering away

I will pay 125 for the rear caliper if it is an AP.. Morris mags on it too..
Plus more for rotor and master cylinder, if they are not heavily corroded...calling dibs

Be very surprised if the motor turned out to be stock..
