1st Place at Hawg Halters Spring Bling
« on: April 20, 2015, 01:20:01 PM »
Hawg Halters Inc. had their annual Spring Bling appreciation show. I won the 1st place prize for the "Vintage" class. The $100 prize was a catalog and a $100 gift certificate for items made or distributed by HHI. Useless to me because the only thing they make that would go on my bike are brake calipers and I already have a set of them sponsored on my bike (the only modern upgrade to this build). Anyone want to buy the certificate for $75?

Congrats on winning!  I can see why.  Would that be a XR750 engine?  My guess is that sounds great going down the road.

It is basically finished but has not been fired yet. Looking for a roll starter to accomplish that.
It is not an XR750 motor, but an XLCH with custom Sputhe heads. Motor is 1327cc and bike weighs only 332lbs. Front tire lost air and popped the bead so I couldn't get air in it for the show.
Steve_K, your guess is as good as mine as to what it sounds like going down the road, right now it's pretty quiet. :o

Did the bead go on the way to the show? >:(

Yeah, run that thing through the gears a few times in town so you can clean the rust off the discs.
